第九届全国口译大会暨国际研讨会将于2012年6月1日至2日在北京语言大学召开。此次大会由中国翻译协会和北京语言大学联合主办,北京语言大学高级翻译学院、中国翻译协会翻译理论与翻译教学委员会承办。会议期间还将组织召开2012年教育部高等学校翻译专业教学协作组暨第八届全国翻译院系负责人联席会议,并组织举行第二届全国口译大赛(英语)全国总决赛。此次大会的主题是“全球化时代的口译教育——口译人才培养模式探究”,大会将重点围绕口译理论和口译教学展开研讨。本着国内、外专家共同参与、教学与科研相结合、理论与实践相结合、团队与个人相结合、培训与研讨相结合的原则,大会届时将邀请国内外知名专家、学者出席大会并作主旨发言,还将以口译的不同教学环节为主线、聚合成研讨单元来组织分论坛的讨论,与会专家、学者和嘉宾可就共同关注的不同口译教学环节进行教学演示、宣讲和讨论。大会将筛选优秀论文在《中国翻译》发表,并编辑、出版《第九届全国口译大会暨国际研讨会论文集》。欢迎关注翻译专业发展的各位专家、学者、学生踊跃提交论文、报名参会。
The 9th National Conference and International Forum on Interpreting will be hosted by and at Beijing Language and Culture University, China, in June, 2012. The theme of the conference is “Interpreter Education in a Global Context:Exploring Modes of Interpreter Training”. Unlike previous sessions that are featured by keynote speeches, this conference will have as its focus the different stages of interpreting teaching and organize participants accordingly, so that scholars, experts, teachers and students will have opportunities to demonstrate, present and discuss in their interested areas/stages of interpreting teaching, in the hope of promoting the development of interpreting studies.

附:历届全国口译大会暨国际研讨会简要回顾
1996 年“首届全国口译理论与教学研讨会”在厦门大学举行,主要讨论目前我国口译教学的现状和主要问题,以及口译教学改革的设想。主要介绍了口译教学和训练方面的情况,有23 人提交论文和发言共21 篇。
1998 年“第二届全国口译理论与教学研讨会”在广东外语外贸大学举行,共有35 人提交论文35 篇,其中有一半讨论口译教学,另一半研究口译理论。口译理论和教学研究的结合成为突出特点。
2000 年“第三届全国口译理论与教学研讨会”在西安外国语学院召开。口译研究开始出现新趋势,有三分之一的论文摆脱了传统研究视角,开始借鉴其他学科的研究成果对口译与教学进行思考。
2002 年“国际口译教学研讨会暨第四届全国口译理论与教学研讨会”在北京外国语大学高级翻译学院召开。研讨会上出现了一些跨学科研究和关于口译培训、认证及职业化等方面的新课题。大会共提交论文62 篇,68 人发言。
2004 年“国际口译大会暨第五届全国口译实践、教学与研究会议”在上海外国语大学高级翻译学院召开,主题是“口译专业化:国际经验和中国的发展”。中外代表围绕着口译职业及其市场化、口译培训和认证、口译理论及跨学科研究以及口译教学与评估等方面展开了讨论。共有160 多名代表报名,提交论文89 篇。
2006年对外经济贸易大学举办了第六届全国口译大会暨国际研讨会,会议以“进入21世纪的高质量口译”为主题,下设四个议题:从母语译入外语——国际口译界共同面临的挑战;口译教学——课程、方法、师资培训与国际合作;口译研究——理论的突破及其与实践的结合;口译专业化——职业考试、评估与市场开发。会议规模为前六届之最。
2008年5月24日至25日,第七届全国口译大会及国际研讨会在广东外语外贸大学召开。本届大会以中国翻译学科的蓬勃发展为背景,设立的主题是“口译在中国——新趋势与新挑战”,希望借鉴国际经验,从口译人才培养、本科与MTI课程设置、教学大纲设计、师资培训等方面进行探讨,对国内今后一段时间口译学科的发展达成一些共识。来自全国七十多所院校的专家教授和口译教师共约二百五十人出席了此次学术盛会。
2010年10月22日至23日,第八届全国口译大会暨国际研讨会在四川大学召开。本届大会主题为“全球化时代的口译”,旨在总结近年来国内口译教学与评估的现状与问题,探讨理论研究与实践应用的关系,了解国际口译教学与研究的最新动态,提出新的研究方向与发展思路。除译员培训、跨学科研究、专业领域口译、口译质量评估等内容外,此次大会还首次增加了口译与技术和手语翻译论题。报名参加本次大会的中外学者超过280人,收到论文182篇,报名与提交论文的代表来自的国家和地区数量为历次大会之最。

National Conference and International Forum on Interpreting
In 1996, the 1stNational Conference on Interpreting was launched in Xiamen University. It mainly discussed the status quo, major problems and reform plan of interpreting teaching and introduced the situation of interpreting teaching and training. There were 21 papers and speeches submitted by 23 participants.
In 1998, the 2ndNational Conference on Interpreting was held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, with 35 papers submitted by 35 participants, half of which covered interpreting teaching, and the other half interpreting theory, thus highlighting the combination of interpreting theory and teaching.
In 2000, the 3rdNational Conference on Interpreting was held in Xi’an International Studies University. It witnessed new trends of interpreting research, with one-third of the papers reflecting upon interpreting teaching and research in the light of other disciplines, rather than traditional perspectives.
In 2002, the 4thNational Conference and International Forum on Interpreting was held in the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, Beijing Foreign Studies University. It attracted 68 presenters with 62 papers on interdisciplinary studies of interpreting and other new topics on the training, accreditation and professionalization of interpreting.
The International Interpreting Conference 2004 & Fifth National Conference on Interpreting Practice, Pedagogy, and Researchwas held in Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation of Shanghai International Studies University in 2004, featuring the theme of “Professionalization in Interpreting: International Experiences and Developments in China”. Participants from both home and abroad exchanged views about professional and market-oriented interpretation, interpreter training and accreditation, interpreting theories and interdisciplinary studies, as well as interpretation teaching and assessment. There were more than 160 attendees who submitted 89 papers.
The 6thNational Conference & International Forum on Interpreting was held in University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in 2006. The theme of the conference was “Towards Quality Interpretation in the 21stCentury”, which consisted of four sub-themes: 1. Interpreting from native language to foreign language (A to B): a common challenge faced by the international interpreting communities; 2. Interpreting teaching: curriculum design, teaching methodology, teacher training and international cooperation; 3. Interpreting studies: breakthroughs in interpreting theories and their integration with interpreting practice; 4. Professionalizing Interpreting:vocational qualification examination, assessment and market development.
Under the background of the booming development of interpreting in China, the 7thNational Conference and International Forum on Interpreting with the theme of “Interpreting in China: New Trends and Challenges” was hosted by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies May 24-25, 2008. Its mission was to achieve some common ground on the development of interpreting in China in the future by drawing on international experience, and held discussions on such issues as interpreter training, curriculum design for BTI and MTI programs, syllabus design and teacher training. About 250 experts, professors and teachers in the field from more than 70 universities and colleges around the country attended the forum.
“Interpreting in the Age of Globalization” was the theme of the 8thNational Conference and International Forum on Interpreting which was opened by and at Sichuan University from 22nd to 23rd October, 2010. It aims at scrutinizing the current situations and challenges of interpreting teaching and research in China, exploring the relationship between interpreting theory and practice, exchanging information on the state of the art in interpreter training and research in the world, and exploring new research fields for further development. Apart from topics about interpreter training, interdisciplinary interpreting studies, interpreting for special purposes and interpreting quality assessment, this forum initiated such topics as interpreting and technology and sign language interpreting. This conference received a total of 182 papers from more than 280 scholars and experts from China and many other countries and regions around the world.
